World of Warcraft - Image 1

The changes and major content additions in the World of Warcraft patch 2.1.0 are massive to say the least. And many players aren't really happy with the upcoming changes, but still are curious as to when it's going live.

Blizzard poster Nethaera answered the question on the WoW Forums: "We don't have a date as of yet, I'm sorry. Testing is still ongoing and we would like to continue to encourage people to hop in to the test realms and give things a try." Why isn't there an ETA? Well, patch 2.1.0 is going to be big and therefore would require more testing. We wouldn't want a broken patch to go live, right?

She added that the bugs are being exterminated as fast as possible. We might not wait too long - it'll come on a future Tuesday. Hopefully, there aren't any downtimes when it does go live. Anyway, we'll keep you posted as soon as the info becomes available. Stay tuned for more WoW news and updates.

Well it looks like the patch is being distributed as I type this. Horribly slow, I've never understood the blizzard downloader.

Well "M C" the blizzard downloader works on a peer to peer system, they release a patch to download prefreably 2-3 days before patch release, cap the speed that a peer can upload to you and cap the speed that you upload to them, this is to ensure WoW is still playable without lag while you download the patch content, patch should be up on most servers wednesday 16th may.
