Oooohhh - purple! - Image 1We've checked up on the WoW Forums for a little insight to some commotion going on over there. This may be old news to most of the higher levels, but right when you've hit Level 70 and you decide to mine Khorium, you suddenly find that there is not a vein in sight! There's even talk that since the launch of the Burning Crusade, there has been a shortage of Khorium deposits.

The valuable purple ore has gone missing from most ore deposits and some players think it's cramping their levelling style. Word is that Blizzard swapped most of the veins for lower grade ore so other lower level players could enjoy a roomier mining experience. One other point is that Khorium hasn't been permanently removed from the game, it's just that its been temporarily removed from most deposits.

Another point is that there will be some good thinking on whether the Khorium deposits will return for the better players. But surely some high-level players ply their trade through crafting and not just plain Khorium grabbing, so it's highly likely that they will be available again at some point.

Hopefully we'll see a comeback of the precious ore. We'll keep a sharp ear out for more word on this. For now, you can check on more of what other players had to say by clicking on the Read link provided below.
