Taunka race featured in WoW's Wrath of the Lich King expansion - Image 1It's been quite some time since we last saw World of Warcraft's bestiary section updated with new monsters from its upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Fortunately, a new creature has recently made its way into the WotLK website, giving players a little more insight on the new content that they will be seeing.

The new monster that was introduced, the taunka, takes the form of a creature similar to the horned tauren race found on Azeroth's more civilized areas. The taunka have adapted to its frigid environment and have developed into a race of dour and seemingly untrusting creatures.

Much like the taurens, the taunka share a deep relationship with nature. However, the taunka's life in the deadly wastes reflect the grim perseverance that they face everyday. Perhaps visitors brave enough to make the trek into their icy domain can crack the mystery behind the stoic race.

Sure enough, everyone will get to meet the possible tauren offshoot as well as the many denizens of Northrend once Wrath of the Lich King goes live. We'll make sure to keep everyone posted on more updates regarding the game as we get them.
