World of Warcraft: Clarifications on the honor system of outside of Battlegrounds - Image 1

On the World of Warcraft forums, gamer Penance asks a question some of you may have also wondered on. Basically Penance asks if the honor system outside of the Battlegrounds are the same as PvP while inside.

While taking part in PvP in Battlegrounds, players who die 50 times will no longer reward honor when they are killed again. Penance wants to clarify whether the same holds true outside the Battlegrounds. The short answer is no.

Diminishing honor returns was taken out in Patch 2.4. Here is the answer from Blizzard poster Drysc:

[...] There's no currently planned overarching limitations on any PvP outside of the battlegrounds, which would be outdoor "world PvP". You of course have rez-timers to compete with and all of the other inconsistencies that come with world PvP, and as stated in the change any one with the rez sickness debuff is worth no honor. I assume though, however, that Lake Wintergrasp in the WotLK expansion won't be a bad way to earn honor in an outdoor environment.
