On the alleged banning of accounts in World of Warcraft - Image 1

Now and again, you'll come across some interesting points of criticism from World of Warcraft players on Blizzard's forums. One such post belongs to WoW player Gadgetz, who accused Blizzard of randomly banning player accounts.

Over on the European WoW forums, the seemingly disgruntled Gadgetz said that Blizzard has been accusing people of using third party programs while neglecting to provide evidence. The player also mentioned quitting WoW, encouraging others to do likewise.

Blizzard representative Vaneras said that the company does not randomly ban accounts, and that if Gadgetz has any complaints, the player should report it to WoW Game Security Support:

I can assure you that no accounts are ever banned or suspended at random! If you believe your account has been wrongfully suspended or banned, please contact us by using this webform.

We suppose that there's a lesson in there for all World of Warcraft players out there. A complaint needs to be expressed, but there are proper channels for acting on it, too.
