Auction House - Image 1For many of World of Warcraft's denizens, one add-on to never leave home without is Auctioneer. This handy tool enables users to quickly scan the game's Auction Houses, ensuring that they get first-hand information on good player-to-player bargains, and on ideal prices for peddling their own goods.

As Wdude reports over at the forums, however, he's been encountering an error that not only causes Auctioneer to freeze up, but causes WoW to crash as well. We won't got into the finer details of the error, although blue-texter Slouken did drop by the thread with this explanation for the crash:

This is a crash with StubbyFrame doing a strsplit and overflowing the Lua maximum stack size. In [game patch] 2.3.2 it will throw a Lua error instead of crashing the game.

Those who may be suffering similar problems as Wdude reported will want to check his post out over at the WoW forums. Wdude has apparently copy-pasted the exact script error that causes his game to crash, which should make it easier for others to identify the problem.
