WoW realm downtimes can be frustrating for players - Image 1It seems that when the World of Warcraft realms go down on days other than Tuesday, the instinctive reaction is to ask - even demand - for free game time as compensation. Just ask a disgruntled player by the name of Cael, who complained to Blizzard regarding this very matter.

Unfortunately, Cael didn't exactly get much sympathy from the other members on the WoW forums. Fortunately, Blizzard blue poster Nickjs responded to Cael's complaint with an apology and a couple of threads for the player to check out:

We do apologize that you have not been able to access the realm when you wanted to and assure you we are continually working to resolve such issues and prevent them from happening in the future.

Please continue to keep an eye on our sticky thread at the link below for more information and future updates regarding your specific realm: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=6248585133&sid=1

We encourage you to provide your feedback or requests on our Suggestions Forum at: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?forumId=11122

Nickjs also reminded Cael to keep an eye out for announcements of general compensation, if or when they should occur. It seems that the only thing left for Cael to do now is to follow the proper channels and wait patiently for things to get rolling again.
