Ear Biter the Ring of Trials battlemaster - Image 1Going AFK in the middle of battleground combat in World of Warcraft is definitely a no-no, but what about sitting on top of a battlemaster? Does Blizzard even give out warnings? Those are the questions that WoW forum member Mythomania posed to Blizzard and to other WoW players recently.

Some Blizzard forum members had interesting opinions regarding the battlemaster. One of them suggested that the battlemasters be placed on mounts so that players could still click on the NPCs even if griefers were deliberately trying to block the players' view. Another thought that Blizzard remove battlemasters altogether, thus forcing every player to queue up by the zone instance.

Jeffrey Kaplan, lead designer for World of Warcraft and more commonly known as Tigole on the forums, said that while WoW battlemasters were designed in a certain way, Blizzard is admittedly intent on improving them: "In 2.4, the Battlemasters are standing on platforms with collision around them," he writes. "We're also working on a better solution for Wrath of the Lich King."

Until specific rules regarding battle-master sitting have been clearly established, the safest thing, as Blizzard forum member Gaem put it, would be to simply refrain from sitting on the battlemaster.
