World of Warcraft

Alright, adventurers all over Azeroth, listen up because we've got a quick news update regarding World of Warcraft today. According to Blizzard, players who access the game through the World of Warcraft launcher will receive a patch for Blizzard's launcher and downloader tools.

Those who don't use the launcher to start grinding their way to fame and fortune will not be able to use the background downloader. Instead, they will receive the tools update the next time they receive a game patch. Using the launcher is a must in order to receive the new tools update and background download patch data. Y'know, we think that downloading the tools update now would be a good idea. That way you guys would have a smaller chunk of data to download on the next update.

Right now, those who play WoW using their Macs are out of luck because a tools update for Mac users is not yet available. Blizzard assures Mac users that one will become available shortly, so no worries. Okay, now that the news update's over and done with you can all go back to adventuring, making machinima, ganking noobs, or whatever it is that strikes your WoW-centric fancy.
