Machinima videos based on Blizzard's World of Warcraft can be a mixed bag sometimes. Some come out as mere bragging rights to a successful raid or sometimes they're just plain silly.

However, once in a while you come across a rare gem full of artistic storytelling and good cinematography. This was the effect that Selserene wanted to evoke with the short machinima film entitled "In for A Penny".

The author mentions that this video is merely the prologue to a two-part film noir that will be done in the near future. It wraps up both stories in a single piece and is set entirely to music, although the final version of the film will be done with actual dialogue.

Selserene advices those who want to watch the movie online on the WarcraftMovies.com site to use Stage 6 stream for best results. Fortunately, a YouTube version of the movie was also uploaded by the author for easier viewing. There's been no word when the next episodes of the film will be released, but we're definitely going to keep our eyes out for it.
