Here's a World of Warcraft update on the mage outcry about their Arena 2 gear, Merciless Gladiator's Regalia. Just so we're all on the same page, mages were concerned that their armor came under the "stat budget".

Blizzard poster Drysc made a reply on a thread that was asking for... well, updates. He said that they have "been able to identify what went wrong" with the mage season 2 items. He indicated that the issue will be corrected in a future patch.

Some players are still thinking of the possibilities since the said problem might be a buff or a nerf to the said set. They are waiting for updates since they want to be informed whether they'll need to start saving up for the new gear, or keep their existing season 1 gear.
