You won't need these for your new epic flying machine - Image 1Aside from the previously announced Epic Hippogryph flying mount that's being prepped for players exalted by the Cenarion Expedition, another flyer soon to turn heads is the engineer's equivalent.

But while World of Warcraft's engineers are stockpiling materials left and right to prepare for their new Epic flying machine, they're wondering about what other rare items they'll need to make it. Hopefully, as Nebesk over at the WoW forums states, it won't include obscenely difficult to acquire reqs like Nethers. Blizzard blue-texter Drysc dropped by the thread with some very good news:

It won't require any nethers or vortices.

You'll first have to create the non-epic, and then upgrade it to the epic version. I think we planned the mats to be around 500g in total once you complete the epic version, but I could be wrong on that. It's worth it though. I wish I had an engineer after getting to see it. Hands down, in my opinion, the best flying mount in the game.

Given the estimated cost for Nethers in the AH, we imagine the long manufacturing time required for this new mount shouldn't be a big problem, provided you've been saving.
