Blizzard's World of Warcraft 2.1 Test Realm received another update recently and quite a number of them are pretty good. A good example of the changes they are implementing is the buffing up of the level 70 epic gear. The new stuff is actually looking, well, epic. Curse Gaming posted some of the details regarding the changes, and it really caught the attention of the WoW players among the Bloggers in QJ.
Of note are the improvements on the Arena weapons (finally they have a use) and the fact that certain Heroic Boss drops have been upgraded. These improvements might actually be enough for us to dust off some of our PVE characters and start going back on boss hunts and raids. Anyway, without further delay, here are the changes:
Changes in Patch 2.1:
- The Mongoose enchant glow has been changed again.
- The Savagery enchant glow has been changed.
- Tier 2 and 3 Blacksmithing weapons have been improved greatly(3-4 dps on the 2h weapons).
- Most Heroic Badge of Justice items have been upgraded.
- Some Heroic Boss Drops have been upgraded(some redesigned).
- Most BoE Level 70 Epics have been upgraded.
- The Violet Eye Reputation rings for Honored, Revered, and Exalted have been upgraded.
- Arena weapons(for the most part) have been improved, though some seem to need upgrades still.
Patch 2.1 is really shaping up to be one of the best patches that Blizzard has ever released for the game. Hopefully, this won't be plagued by gameplay balance issues that will lead to nerfing down the line. Be sure to check out some of the screenshots on the said improvements.
