World of Warcraft: 2.4.2 PTR Open for business - Image 1Wondering how Blizzard's latest patch for World of Warcraft may affect your gameplay. If you're not to keen on a guessing game, then how about giving them a try?

Hortus dropped by the WoW forums earlier to announce that the Public Test Realms are now open for WoW's upcoming patch 2.4.2.

That aside, Hortus reminds the PTR's prospective gamers to take heed of several warnings, most of which are regarding the realm's authentication mechanics. Here's a short list of the blue-poster's reminders:
  • If your account was not active prior to that date you will not have access to the 2.4.2 PTR.
  • Also if your account was not upgraded to Burning Crusade prior to April 22nd you will not have access to characters over level 60 or any Burning Crusade content.
  • If you have changed your password since April 22nd you will need to use the password on your account from that date.
  • There are no pre-mades for 2.4.2
  • Only accounts that are already eligible for live arena realms will be able to connect to the Test Arena realm.
Those interested in asking Hortus any questions regarding patch 2.4.2's PTR will want to visit the original thread via the source link below. Drop by again in case we receive any further updates.
