Blizzard's World of Warcraft MMORPG - Image 1Since World of Warcraft patch 2.4 went live, certain players have been complaining about the long queue times in the battlegrounds. Apparently, pre-made groups who join the instance have to wait longer than others.

Blizzard QA Hortus addressed this issue and gave out details regarding the longer queue times. He pointed out that the delays are due to some changes the developers made to the matchmaking system in patch 2.4:

The matchmaking system was tightened up for premade groups in 2.4 this will result in longer queue times unless there are similarly geared premade groups on the battleground for you to be matched against.

While this means that pre-made groups will have to wait longer, this change seems to be a good move by Blizzard. The new tweaks to the matchmaking system should make sure that both groups will be evenly matched, thus making the matches more a question of skill than gear.
