The Arena Tournament Ladders round ended just a couple of days ago, and Blizzard is now taking serious heat for their eligibility rules that somehow sneaked its way into the overall Arena Tournament rules after the recruitment period that started back in February. Everything isn't all and well in the World of Warcraft.

Cyclone's number one 5v5 team - Warm It Up will not make it to regionals - Image 1

As a limited number of teams for each battlegroup will make the cut off for the Regionals on April 22, only three teams from the Cyclone battlegroup will get the chance to compete against their region's best. One of the top qualifying teams (out of three) on Cyclone hails from the Pyre Guild.

But after being struck by the ineligibility card, "Warm It Up" (as we concluded), the almost consistently top 5v5 Arena Team qualifier for Cyclone, will never make it to Regionals. Infuriated, the five-realm-spanned guild has officially announced that they're jumping ship from World of Warcraft to a game with better support and developers who are more apologetic of their actions in a game subscribers pay (a lot) to play.

The blue reply left most people with the impression that Blizzard is still flexing its dictatorship muscles. It seems that they couldn't care less that ZERG IT DOWN - with a Canadian in their team - actually qualified for the Regionals, despite the rules explicitly stating that gamers located outside of the places mentioned in Rule #1 were ineligible to participate. We suspect some foul play here, folks!

Top on their list is the upcoming Warhammer Online, which should be invading the U.S very soon. But since it's hard to think that anyone could quit World of Warcraft, we could go out on a limb and mention that we've spotted some free World of Warcraft servers already out there, now with Burning Crusade...

» MMOs are not my cup of tea...

I played them too much in a too small time frame, now I see it's a complete waste of time and I stopped playing in that kind of games ( I only played to be the best, I'm a compulsive powerplayer, lol ).

If there were an MMO that was great&free, than maybe, but the only one I saw that was free, was ugly... But anyway the best would be an MMO like GTA :D, where you can you what you like, but also where you can kill your ennemies easily, without any kind of levels, only good playing, some money for the guns and armor, a lot of luck and good gangsters(teammates). :D Lol!

You want a good, free game that's about skill? Try Guild Wars.

I had the same problem as you with WoW - " I played them too much in a too small time frame". I quit it for GW and now I'm a hell of a lot happier :)
