In Blizzard's World of Warcraft, there have been reports that the Dreadmist Mask, a loot item dropped by Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance, is not dropping. Blackbane has posted on the forums that he has already run the instance 50 times, with no luck.

Multiple players have responded to this, and from all accounts, it's just the random item generator. It just so happens that he hasn't been getting it. Some people have reportedly gotten it on the first try while other had to do it 60 times to get the item. The guys at Blizzard may really have to do something about their random item generator because this is not the first time it has happened. Many have gone on quests that had to be repeated a multitude of times (we mean above 50 times) just to get the loot we needed.

Still, this is the system we have to work with, so if anyone needs items, you'll just have to get them the old fashioned way. Yup, we mean grinding till your fingers bleed from the effort. Look at it this way, no one can say you didn't earn it right?
