Well, it looks like we've got more good news regarding the changes that World of Warcraft will be experiencing with the arrival of patch 2.4.2. According to player Kilmor over at WoW Europe's forums, there's an ongoing issue where players get invited to an arena battle, only to have no opposition waiting for them. As Kilmor elaborated:

When we get queue for arena it says "<1 minute" for queue time yet whenever we get invite for arena we get no opposition to fight with. and that happens at least 5-10 times in a row before we get a team to fight with. i was also told that could be result of teams which try to transfer ratings among themselves.

Blizzard's blue-poster Slorkuz dropped by the thread to clarify that this issue should be fixed with the arrival of patch 2.4.2. We imagine that Slorkuz was talking about these arena changes that will be implemented in the patch:

• If a character’s personal rating is more than 150 points below the team rating, they will earn points based on their personal rating instead of the team rating.
• If the average personal rating of the players queuing for a game is more than 150 points below the team’s rating, the team will be queued against an opponent matching or similar to the average personal rating.
