Blizzard's World of Warcraft MMORPG - Image 1Community Manager Thundgot has announced on the Europe World of Warcraft forums that Blizzard will be implementing some changes regarding the durations of the paid transfer and name change cooldowns.

According to Thundgot's post, the cooldown for both paid transfers and name changes has been reduced from three months to one month.

He further added that this reduction to one month will not increase the impact these services have in the game. Expect to pay around
20.00 / £15.00 (around US$ 30).

If you're new to World of Warcraft and are not too familiar with both name changes and realm transfers, you might want to know that both services have independent cooldowns. This means that if you change the name of your character, you can still transfer to a different realm as long as you haven't done so within the last month.
