World of Warcraft MMORPG - Image 1Players have been complaining that the World of Warcraft Shaman ability Toughness is not working as intended. The tooltip states that on the highest level, the ability should reduce the duration of movement impairing effects by 50 percent. However, it does nothing when a player is hit by a Mage's Frost Nova or a Druid's Roots.

Blizzard QA Hortus replied to these comments saying that the new implementation of Toughness was not intended to affect the Druid's Roots ability.

He does agree, however, that the tooltip for abilities similar to this that don't affect roots are a bit misleading. He has already taken action and brought this up to the developers of the game.

Unfortunately, Hortus failed to mention anything about the ability not working when hit with Frost Nova. Whether this was intended or not hasn't been established yet but this blogger feels that the Frost Nova slow effect should be covered by the Toughness buff.
