Ever since patch 2.3 went live in Blizzard's World of Warcraft, players have been poring over the patch notes to see if any of the changes implemented concerns them. However, some of the more observant gamers noticed that Blizzard missed out mentioning a few of the minor additions. These changes were compiled and posted on the World of Raids website.
According to the list of undocumented changes, some professions in World of Warcraft got quite a few improvements that should help maximize character inventory slots. Engineers and Enchanters in the game will be pleased to know that both the engineering toolbox and enchanter bags can now hold primals and motes. In addition to this, miners can now store fire/earth primals and motes in their mining bags while JewelCrafters can now keep Mercurial Stones in their Gem Bags.
Various other changes were made with regards to the world environment, instances, and classes. So here are the other undocumented changes in Patch 2.3:
- General
- Boats and zeppelins which carry players now have NPC crews, including vendors.
- (Racial abilities) Weapon Expertise instead of crit for Humans/Orcs
- Champion of the Naaru doesn't stack with PvP titles
- The video options menu has been redone.
- PvP
- Mines giving reinforcements in AV
- Arena ratings will now be determined by the player's record, instead of the team's.
- Professions
- Mining
- Primal Fire/Earth (and motes of the same) can be put in Mining Bags.
- Enchanting
- Cooldown for Nexus Transformation removed
- Primal Water/Mana/Life/Nether (and motes of the same) can be put in enchanting bags.
- Engineering
- All primals/motes (including nethers, yes) can go into Engineering toolboxes.
- JewelCrafting
- Mercurial Stone can now be put into Gem Bags.
- Cooking
- Recipes that once enabled a person to get to 300 before going grey now do not.
- Mounts
- There has been a change to the purple glow effect on Netherdrakes. It now trails behind the mount.
- World Environment
- Boats and Zeppelins that carry players are now populated with NPC crews, some of which are vendors.
- The boat between Teldrassil and Darkshore, and the one between the Forgotten Coast and Feathermoon Stronghold now use the night elf ship model, rather than the human ship model.
- Sound
- Night elf and Dwarven inns have new music added.
- Karazhan has 14 new soundtracks for different parts of the dungeon.
- The Temple Of The Moon in Darnassuss has had it's music changed.
- The "Sound at Character" option has been removed from sound settings. It is on by default now.
- Items
- The Twin Blades of Azzinoth now have a hidden cooldown of 45 seconds.
- Dartol's Rod of Transformation can no longer be cast when moving.
- MSD Buff is now lasting 5 seconds as opposed to 10 seconds.
- MSD now affects Evocation.
- Instances
- Black Temple: Mother Shahraz
- The teleport deals additional shadowdmg. you'll get 2500 shadowdmg every tick. (2.2 was 750 -> 1500 -> and so on)
- Black Temple: Shade of Akama
- Shade of Akama's adds do not cast the channeling spell to hold him in place, now, he just goes straight to Akama as soon as you engage him, and you can kill him in 20-30 secs (shortest boss encounter ever).
- Hellfire Citadel : Heroic Ramparts
- The Vazruden/Nazan chest in Heroic Hellfire Ramparts is bugged.
- If all the item rolls are decided and the chest becomes "empty", the chest despawns. People who didn't opened it before all the rolls got decided won't be able to loot their Badges of Justice.
- Tempest Keep: Void Reaver
- Void Reaver now "lobs" his orbs instead of shooting them in a straight line. Makes them a tad harder to see.
- Tempest Keep : Heroic Mechanar
- Same Problem as in HFC: HRamparts.
- Classes
- Hunters
- You can no longer use FD+drink/eat (or feed pet) during raid encounters.
- Dead zone has been removed. Hunters range is now 5-35 (41 with talents) yards.
- It seems that it is no longer possible for a Hunter to have Freezing trap applied to 2 or more targets at the same time.
- Paladins
- Fanaticism doesn't reduce threat while Righteous Fury is active
- Priests
- On-damaged effects, such as Prayer of Mending, will no longer proc on periodic damage that is absorbed.
- Shadow Priests can use costume effects while still in shadow form. Eg. Savory Deviate Delights
- Mages
- Ice Block will no longer freeze players mid air.
- Shamans
- T6 Resto Shaman gear currently has no token cost. (It will be fixed and removed very soon)
- The coefficient change on Chain Lightning/Lightning Bolt (as not to nerf Ele Shaman DPS).
- Warlock
- Soulstone spell effects now appear on the target of the soulstone, rather than the lock.
- Quests
- The minimum hp required to wrangle aether rays has increased for the Skyguard daily. 40% is now the new HP required for aether rays.
