World of Warcraft Patch 2.4 bigger than ever - Image 1 It's not the size, it's how you use it. Apparently, Patch 2.4 in World of Warcraft is laced with what WoW Insider has dubbed the Elixir of Giant Growth.

Weaponry in Patch 2.4 have been enlarged to almost double its size. While the reasons for this is unclear, the intimidating effect of the enlarged weaponry is pretty cool.

To compare the difference between the uber-weapons, WoW Insider took a picture of the same set of armor as it appears on the Public Test Realm and on the live servers.

They speculate that this may be a bug as "an increase in size on everything in the game just doesn't seem intentional." They do have a point; the enlarged sword looks more like it was designed to impale rather than slash.

Still, if this was an intentional move by Blizzard, it would be interesting to see what it would do to visual aesthetics for the rest of the weapons available in the game.
