Retribution Paladins in Blizzard's World of Warcraft will be finally be getting the threat reduction they've been asking for. Community Manager Eyonix said that the Fanaticism Talent will now be granting a 6/12/18/24/30% threat reduction in addition to the buff it gives to Judgement critical hits.

While the CM didn't give a specific date on when this update goes live, the mere fact that it has been finalized should do a lot to calm players who were getting frustrated when they announced that there would be no threat reduction for Paladins in patch 2.3.

Before this change, Fury Warriors and other DPS characters were far better at dealing damage without pulling the mob from the party's main tank. This will no longer be the case with Retribution Paladins now becoming more viable in a Raid setting.
