World of Warcraft expansion in the works - Image 1

The news is out and a new expansion for Blizzard's World of Warcraft is already in the works. Lead producer Shane Dabiri has already confirmed this in a recent Games For Windows Magazine interview. Sadly, Blizzard poster Nethaera has said on the forums that they have decided to keep mum on the details of the game.

Quite a few ideas have been circulating around such as the inclusion of water mounts. In terms of territories, most players are expecting to find the Maelstrom and Northrend in the new expansion. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of people are rooting for a cow level. we can see it now, an instance populated by nothing but packs and packs of Taurens. Well, people can dream right?

This expansion is said to have started development from as early as the start of this year, though we can't confirm that. Hopefully, they will add fixes to some of the more glaring problems in the game as well as properly balance-out the characters without over-nerfing them.

Burning Crusade killed the game. Balance is totally thrown to the wind and everything fun about the game has been killed. Blizzard can't recover from this garbage...this will probably be the last expansion we'll see for the game.

R.I.P. World of Warcraft, I will miss those many sleepless nights in Molten Core =[

Seriously, the Burning crusade wasn't even an Expansion. It added only a few minor things, and the few new zones they added was not worth the 30$ i paid for the exppansion. Hell, they should add more to Outland before they release a new expansion. It's basically a patch that requires 30$ to download. Thanks blizzard.

 » not a patch

It wasn't a patch, the problem with BC is that it didnt focus on new zone content, but rather new gameplay content, with two races, and such. Not a bad thing to add, but questionably worth the $$$. These new races required new starting zones, so a lot of the new content isn't seen by veteran players who just want to see new areas with their current players and level up to 70. Unless you create a new char, then you can experience the new low lvl zones, and outlands.
