The retribution paladin class in the World of Warcraft has had a lot of woes in the past. Some gamers feel that the class is usually dealt the short end of the stick. One gamer expressed his fears that the class may totally be overshadowed in Wrath of the Lich King.

Gamer Ixixi brought up the subject in the World of Warcraft forums, saying that with the arrival of the Death Knight, the totally overshadowed Ret Paladin will be "the first to be put on the sidelines" and that Blizzard will "kill another amazing class."

Blizzard poster Bornakk replied to this, saying that they haven't abandoned the class, and that they are planning on improving the class in Wrath of the Lich King:

We have mentioned in the past that we would like to improve Retribution Paladins in Wrath of the Lich King, we just don't have a lot of specific details to release regarding this right now.

We did say we plan on changing how their abilities work to share gear with warriors which will help make it easier for them to gear up though.
