There are times when a heated argument on the World of Warcraft forums begins from a simple discussion of whether or not a new bug is actually an intended in-game feature or an actual glitch in the system. This was certainly the case in a recent thread started by poster Nurgle regarding the recursion of the mid-cast target switching bug.

This was confirmed by several others on the forums and was noted to have been occurring on both the 2.4 PTR and the live version of WoW. It soon became a point of contention whether this was an intended game balance feature or an actual bug tied into the game. There were even reports of this issue going as far back as the 2.3 PTR.

Fortunately, Blizzard Poster Hortus eventually arrived and explained the situation by saying: "This has been fixed on the PTR for some time. Unless you have confirmed that it is re-occurring you should not be posting in this forum".
