Death Knight - Image 1Lately every World of Warcraft player has been talking about Wrath of the Lich King and the introduction of Death Knights in the game. Well, Community Manager Nethaera gave out a few more details on Death Knight leveling as well as being able to create one of the opposite faction from your own in PvE realms.

First up, would be creating your own Death Knight. Nethaera pointed out that character creation would follow the same rules as the system currently in place. This means that players on PvE can create a Death Knight from any faction while PvP gamers can only create a Death Knight of their faction.

To help players get to grips with the new character, Nethaera revealed that a new quest series will be introduced to the game which will teach players how to use the class effectively. A good move on the part of the developers considering the class will start at a higher level.

Speaking of higher levels, Nethaera also spoke about the Death Knight starting at a higher level and the possibility of creating characters starting at level 55 as well. She said that they were unlikely to introduce this because of the current tweaks:

I find it unlikely given the leveling increases we have done from level 20 to 60, and it's possible we may do some other things that will affect leveling (though that's not a certainty either). We want to maintain the uniqueness of the Death Knight in the meantime.

It looks like Blizzard is slowly ironing out the different possible concerns regarding Death Knight. We'll just have to see if they can resolve most of the potential problems that will come up from the introduction of this class in the game.
