World of Warcraft: Darrowmere is underpopulated? - Image 1

To even out the population between overpopulated and underpopulated realms in World of Warcraft, Blizzard opens up player transfers between realms. They did this only recently so that players can get a chance to experience wider fields for their characters.

The selection process for realms dictate that only the realms with lowest population will be chosen to be opened for transfers. This might leave some realms feeling neglected, particularly those that feel underpopulated, but not enough to qualify for the transfers.

A recent forum thread expressed one realm's dissatisfaction at not having been chosen for the transfers. After 13 pages of gamers from the Darrowmere expressing their realm's underpopulation, Blizzard poster Drysc replied:

[...] If you read the transfer stickies we choose realms based on the lowest population. Now, regardless of what you think, Darrowmere wasn't in the lowest population when we opened transfers. Right now, since the last round of transfers, it's probably one of the bottom three and if we can open more transfers it's really a prime candidate.

Now, as for everyone's behavior in this thread, I find it pretty rude to simply fill out a thread, pseudo-bumping it, and more or less spamming to get a message across. Making a thread isn't going to bring transfers to your realm. Transfers will happen when they can, and you realm will be a destination if it meets the criteria. <- that's a period
