World of Warcraft - Image 1 World of Warcraft - Image 2

You might recall that some players have been complaining about the graphics used on some of the gear in Blizzard's World of Warcraft. It seems that some weapons will be getting a graphic overhaul in patch 2.4.2.

Based on the screenshot comparison, The Shiv of Exsanguination and Fang of Kalecgos on the public test realm don't have the red glow that that is present in the actual servers of the game.

To be honest, this blogger and a few members of the WoW team actually preferred the red glow on the Shiv of Exsanguination if only for the fact that it looked more menacing.

While we're not really sure if these changes are intentional and will be making it to the actual servers when patch 2.4.2 goes live, we thought it might be good to point it out for future reference for when Blizzard releases the patch notes.
