World of Warcraft: engineers aren't happy about the profession changes - Image 1Up on the Professions section of the European World of Warcraft Forums, engineers have extracted the profession change notes for incoming 2.1.0 patch and have commented on each of the changes. But you really don't have to read between the lines to know that engineers aren't happy about the changes.

Okay, so engineers did complain that profession stagnation could be solved by adding more recipes. Engineers now have 11 new epic goggles, Frost Grenades and Icy Blasting Primers to create, but none of them are really worth boasting to other professions. Why? It's because the items (besides the goggles) won't probably sell.

Engineering, in itself, entails all the processes of planning, designing, and finally creating something that would further the good of a race, but taking into mind the viability, feasibility, and economy for undergoing such projects. Everything is possible with engineering, it's just not easy to afford everything.

So if the new recipes for freezing explosives require expensive ingredients for a short effect, people won't use them. They've mentioned these before in the engineer woes posts and it seems that ingredient costs aren't going to change. Engineering costs a lot of money.

But since Blizzard said that more changes will be introduced "over time," let's see if they can finally deliver something worthwhile to the highest on their priority update list.

» omg Professions unhappy what else is new

I picked up Blacksmithing on a Rogue for 1 item, costing over 4000g to get it.

i picked up engineering for the googles and explosives, i knew they were expencive, but i could care less.

anyone who whines about their profession, stop it. if u want it to change, make suggestions, dont whine about it.

also, the Bombs seem to Scale Well w/ lvl for the cost.
at lvl 15, a bomb probably costs you 50s each, which takes alot of killing just to get that(maybe you make 1g an hr at lvl 15). at 70, where u can make over 200g an hour, u can make alot of explosives. of course its gonna cost more. your lvl 70.
