Just to show that people in World of Warcraft do something other than grind the day away, a new forum thread in the official WoW forums that asks people to recount the most humorous pieces of "corpse graffiti" that they've stumbled across.

So, just what is corpse graffiti? It's the art of leaving corpses with meaningful names in strange places. If you're in a faction-specific place like Orgrimmar, usually the corpses are of the opposite faction. It's a very temporary art form, seeing as how corpses of logged out players usually disappear after about a day or so (well, in less than a week certainly). It certainly won't win you any contests, too, unless Blizzard decides to run a corpse graffiti contest (oh please do!).

Still, it's a fun idea, and it adds to the color of the landscape as you're travelling across Azeroth. According to the thread, you can usually find corpse graffiti in fireplace, usually with corpses named "Fireohnoes" or "Helpfire", or something along the lines of "Yougotmail" on top of mailboxes and such. Some take it even further, though. One poster, Mukaz, pointed everyone to this video:

Yeah, the vid's a bit dated but we still get a kick from seeing all those cows running into Alliance territory and spelling out their guild's initials with their corpses. Anyway, if you're thinking about getting into the whole corpse graffiti thing, here's a dandy tip on how to die inside a city from forum poster Shorticus:
  1. Initiate a duel outside the city.
  2. Run inside.
  3. Lose.
  4. Right after losing, pop a Demonic Rune.
  5. Revel in your new corpse status.
Alternatively, another poster named Holistic said that if you're looking to leave your humorously-named corpse in Orgrimmar, you can try pulling Gamon out of the inn. He can usually kick a low-level alts's backside. Of course, you can always just choose suicide (if your class allows you to), or you can try jumping off a building repeatedly until you die.
