We've got three new interesting mods from over at the World of Warcraft, with two mods perfect for the money-conscious WoW gamer, and one Druids might wanna take a gander at.AuditorFu v1.2.2 Author: Alari This mod allows characters to keep track of their recent monetary transactions, with the FuBar interfacing allowing for easy access to the detailed categories recorded in this mod - like a credit card tracker. FuBar recommends using it with FuBar installed for best results, and further adds this is an improvement on Accountant/AccountantFu. You'll have to remove the FuBar_AccountantFu folder to swap this one in. The full article awaits after the jump! |

Linux

Any Linux user today knows that he really might end up having problems doing things. The problem lies in actually using the applications we're used to having, especially if you switched from something like Windows to the cute little penguin. We're pretty sure the number of downloads will give a fair idea of Linux users in the QJ community, so we might as well get on with telling you what's up. Normally, World of Warcraft and other MMOs and PC games are meant to run on the two main OS types: Windows and Macs. A little bit of tweaking from the Linux community, however, allows for Windows versions of the games to run on Linux by adding a translation layer (and possibly some additional open source stuff) to launch said programs. Of these different additions to the world of Linux, the most notable is the translation layer (or program loader for PSP people out there) known as Wine. The open source community of Linux officially came out with v0.9.2.5 recently with a pretty nifty update for gaming. WoW players who've gotten used to playing by using an OpenGL patch won't need to anymore. As they mentioned, you can run it straight out of the box! Here's the list of other changes in version 0.9.2.5. Enjoy the download, and isn't it an interesting time to be a Linux gamer?

As if you haven't had enough of the World of Warcraft mods we bring you everyday, we're adding two more to the list! And as today's specials we have the ego-boosting SSHonor mod brought to us by Shadowd and the WoW AddOn Organizer v1.35 from Stahlfaust.
Alright, let's start with the SSHonor first: basically, this battleground mod will allow you to check how much honor you've earned for the day and where you earned it. And thus gives you the much-needed ego boost. With SSHonor, you can also check your honor info yesterday, or N days ago, as well as for the current and past week. Here's the list of stuff the SSHonor shows you:
The WoW AddOn Organizer 1.35 on the other hand is designed to help you organize your installed AddOns and is compatible with Windows (98 to Vista). It lists all your installed AddOns and shows extra info like the versions, languages, etc. The mod also allows you to activate and deactivate the selected AddOns by moving them to the appropriate folders. Here are the other stuff it does:

The regular combat chat window's a hassle, but you still want to be kept up to date on what's happening to your character. Everyone feels the same way, so Grayhoof's Scrolling Combat Text brings all the news (about you), which you can print and feed to a scrolling text above your character model. Now World of Warcraft itself already has Floating Combat Text newly put in, but Grayhoof designed SCT with more performance in mind. Compared to the relatively "lightweight" FCT, SCT gives you so many more messages and options, including an option to report user-customized events on the scrolling text. You may already have SCT installed via the Chiploxie U Collection, but this may be the latest version. But then again, SCT ain't all Grayhoof's got. Included in today's package is SCT Damage 2.1, an add-on to the SCT which adds more damage reporting options to the basic scrolling report. As the great Chinese strategist Sun Tzu once said, Know thyself and Know thine enemy, and you will pwn the b*****d(s) in even a hundred PvPs and PvEs. Consider SCT and SCTD part of that package of pwnage knowledge you need. Don't forget to take a look at the Readme for instructions. Lonekeeper will need to change his username because he won't be alone anymore if he keeps on doing this for the World of Warcraft community. He just collected some great addons that most might like. Here are just some of them: Ace, AceGUI, Atlas, AtlasLootEnhanced, BuyPoisons Remix, CTMod (Master, Mail, Party, Raid, RaidBosses, Unit (frames), DamageMeters, EnergyWatch_v2, Fontabulous (I used Myriad at size 78), GBars, KLHThreatMeter, MobInfo(Includes MobHealth), ntmysFixLoadingTimes, Natur's , EnemyCastBar (NECB), Nurfed (Combat Log, HUD), Outfitter, RangeColour, SCT, Titan Panel (Includes all the default ones), UberQuests (Modded). Installing them is a cinch. You should first exit the game, unzip the files to default folder: C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftInterfaceAddons, then run. If you'd like to modify some of the addons you can follow the instructions below: Atlas - Click on minimap button CTMod - Click on the CT/RA minimap button. Fontabulous - /ftab EnerygyWatch_v2 - /ew off, /ew on, /ew unlock, /ew lock GBars - /gbars NECB - Click on minimap button ntmysFixLoadingTimes - /nFLT Nurfed (Combat Log, HUD) - Click on minimap button. Outfitter - Click on minimap button. RangeColour - /rc SCT - /sct menu Titan Panel - Right click on it. So there you go. If you got some great collections as well. Feel free to share it with us and the WoW community. Comment below if you like what you received. Download: [Chiploxie U] |

So maybe you've already spruced up your WoW UI with button mods like whoa. And on our blogs, there's a lot of other nifty mods that can help you make your UI easier to navigate. While our mod library is steadily building up, here's another one to chuck up for your benefit. It's strange how something so small and simple can actually be a very great help. Here's a mod by poturta that tracks your progress bars of AB resources. There's also resource Ticks and even a Time to Win counters. For a mod that's just 4KB small, it's actually going to take you far and wide in the la-la-land of Azeroth. At least now you'd be able to track your resources better and be able to plan ahead with how long you've got left to win. Because these days, don't you think that it's not about brute strength and magic spells anymore? It's about strategy and planning ahead, right? If that's the case, this mod will bring home the bread, for sure. Download: [ABresource mod] Buy: [World of Warcraft] |
