The moment Nintendo Wii's motion-sensing controller became widely available, gamers across all platforms were like, "Let's see what other things this white stick can control." And as very well documented, we've seen that the Wiimote can actually control a lot: from guitars, cars, EverQuest II, and even rival console PlayStation 3 (PS3).
Among the many uses of the Wiimote was for playing in World of Warcraft (WoW). The coder displayed through a video tutorial how one can actually explore Azeroth using the Wiimote and it was rather amusing. This next one goes along that line as well. Chris Heald from online blog Anti Arc was able to modify the said controller and made it compatible with WoW's fishing activity. Before this works, Heald reminds that you should bound first "Shift+F" to the fishing skill and turn off the AutoLoot function. Once that is done, the controls become relatively easy: Hold button "A" and do a casting motion to make your WoW character cast. Moving the Wiimote up without pressing the "A" button will reel your fish in and autoloot the content. Likewise, the Nunchuk serves as the mouse. Pressing the "B" button plus moving the Nunchuk will move your camera. It's actually pretty nifty and Heald has a proof-of-concept video for all of you. In case you want to know more about the GlovePIE script, the Read link will take you to Chris Heald's blog. |

It's been quite a while since we've given you a healthy serving of World of Warcraft mods. So to pick up where we left off, we're giving you three WoW mods for your Outland and Azeroth travels, but in case you don't know what to do with them, we suggest you read up on our past article. Our WoW mods for today are AtlasLoot Enhanced v2.03.03, HealPoints v2.4.1, and BGSoundAlerts 2.Let's start with the AtlasLoot Enhanced v2.03.03 from Daviesh. This map enhancement mod is a plugin and it needs a host mod to work. For this one, a host mod in the form of Atlas or Alphamap should do the trick. Here's the patch notes for this release: v2.03.03
After that map enhancement mod is a class enhancement mod - Eridan's HealPoints v2.4.1. This is a healer benchmark add-on which is similar to TankPoints for tanks. Designed for healers so as it would be easier for them to choose the most optimal gear. It would display all your needed basic stats and a few advanced benchmarks - PowerPoints and EndurancePoints. Then we move on to BGSoundAlerts 2 by Klishu. This battleground mod will add vocal (spoken) sounds to important events in the Arathi Basin, Warsong Gulch, Alterac Valley, and Eye of the Storm battlegrounds. Check out our link below to know the events currently supported by this mod. Download: AtlasLoot Enhanced v2.03.03 Download: HealPoints v2.4.1 Download: BGSoundAlerts 2 |

The GuildMateMap, a mod for WoW
created by wolfsokta, is one of the most useful mods created. It's
genius is in it's simplicity. GuildMateMap will show all your
guildmates in your world, continent, zone, and mini-map. In addition,
if they have the same mod installed, you will be getting additional
information such as position, current level, class, and guild rank. The tactical application of this mod cannot be overstated. Need a party quick? Just click on any one of your guildmates on the world map and you can whisper to him/her. Then you can simply right click them to add them to your group. Other options are available if they're on your minimap. You target guildmates with a left click. Then you right click and choose from either invite, whisper, or follow. If you have an older version of GMM, then here are the changes from the old version:
Instructions on how to load the GuildMateMap and the rest of the changelog at full article. Download: [GuildMateMap] |

New to World of Warcraft? Ever wonder what we do to make our windows look all spiffy during gameplay? Well then, this is the article for you. Over at Atomic, Logan Booker's written a very insightful and lengthy explanation to WoW modifications. It's got everything, from an overview of what mods are to installing them. He even suggests mods that are considered staples of any veteran's arsenal, as well as some other functional ones that are off the radar for some people. Now that you've picked up a couple of mods you want to use, he also offers some suggestions for interface layouts, from the usual top-heavy and centered styles, to a very minimalist style that gives you a ton of free space. All in all, reading that will give you no excuse to keep using Blizzard's old style, so why not give mods a try, eh? |

After giving you a huge serving of World of Warcraft collection mods, we think it's about time that we go back to the basics. So what mod goodies do we have here for y'all? As a way of going back to the basics, we have here three simple Interface bar mods, which were all created by mod author, Flickor; and all of them starting with the letter 'p'. Here we go.First off is the pBar - a small mod to easily hide the mainbar. With it comes some easy commands - /pb (shows the mainbar), /pb h (hides the mainbar), and /pb help (displays help in chat window). Flickor gives his props to haste for helping him with the code. Next up is the pMinimap. This one will easily hide the minimap, with options to show it if it's needed. If it's shows, you could see it in the top-middle of the screen. Again, it has some easy commands - /pm (shows the minimap), /pm h (hides the minimap), and /pm help (displays help in chat window). The last of them is pScroll. This is made specifically for those people who wants to remove the buttons on the chatframe and be able to scroll in chat with your mouse, without having to use those larger mods out there. The only problem with this one is that it has an 'easy script' so it can be broken. If that ever happens, just do '/console reloadui', and you're all set again. Again, Flickor thanks haste for helping him out with this one. Since all of these 'p' mods are itsy-bitsy downloads, we have compiled all three of them so as it would be more convenient for you. With all that said, the download link's down there. Enjoy! Download: [WoW Interface Bars mods: pBar, pMinimap, pScroll] |

Among the included mods in this collection is Magellan, MailTo, GrimPack, GrudgeBook, HealBot, XLoot, XLootGroup, XLootMaster, XLootMonitor among many others. File size - 28.66 MB. Titan Panel

Another day, another fresh batch of World of Warcraft mods waiting for you here at QJ. The theme for today's batch is Titan mods and we have here yet again, three promising mods for you to consider and try out. And since our collection of mods is growing by the day, we're quite certain that most of these mod authors are already familiar to most of you and you could get to know them more through their creations. One of the regular mod authors we talk about is Phanx. This time around, he has updated his Titan mod called Titan Panel [Factions] to v1.2.8. You could check out our earlier coverage to have a grasp of what this baby is all about. In this release, he added Silvermoon City and Exodar to the list of runecloth tracking factions. It is now compatible with and translated into four different languages, but if you're playing under a Korean or Chinese client, you may have to PM Phanx to make this add-on compatible. Next up, Titan [Critline] 0.4.5 from Lowpinger. Originally done by Uggh, this mod records your highest normal/critical damages and heals. It will let you know when you break your previous record high via a splash message. Lowpinger updated the mod by making it compatible to other clients, plus the usual bugs corrections that affects the recording of certain records. Lastly is the Titan [Gathered] v1.14 c - Titan [Ore], an app with a long name from Medyn. The name of the mod may be complicated, but the add-on is as simple as it gets. This tracks all useful trade items and materials in your bag and will show the result in the Titan Bar. The add-on is fully configurable but is still in its infant stage, so expect a few glitches from time to time. Rest assured that Medyn would update this and you can count on us to tell you about it. Polima

Prayer of Mending is a very useful skill for raid parties in WoW. A common problem that priests have is that it's hard to keep track when it's used up in the chaos of a battle. Enter MendWatch, a mod designed by Polima which shows a countdown bar of how long the spell will last. In addition, when the spell jumps, the bar will change to the new target as well. This can be the difference between life and death in a raid party. However, since it is still a preliminary release, you can expect certain bugs to pop up. However, it is relatively stable as mentioned by the creator of the add-on. The size of the file is 254.59 Kb. Note that this will work on World of Warcraft: Before the Storm 2.0 patch. By now, we're guessing that you're already getting sick of us telling you that we have more World of Warcraft mods at your service. But hey, it's hard to halt a good habit, so we'll go on to talk more about another batch of WoW mods. Since our WoW
mods coverage is growing day by day, two of the three mods we have here
were already featured here at QJ, so you could use our earlier reports
as reference.Mod author Isognomy has updated his Rogue mod - Sabella to v1.0 Beta 5. The last time we talked about it, it still has its share of bugs. This version is no different, but more features were added and in due time, these bugs will be a thing of the past. Here's the patch notes for this version:
