Just a week after the in-game pets for World of Warcraft were announced, one of the two variations has apparently been sold out, just goes to show how WoW-crazy some people get. The Pandaren Monk, listed for US$ 10 on the Blizzard pet store, has now been "sold out" in the United States.

If you're still stewing in your seat thinking about attending BlizzCon 2009, you're too late. Don't worry too much, though, you're not the only one. You know those 20,000 tickets for the event? Well, they were all sold out...in just eight minutes.

WoW is wow. Since its release back in November 24th, World of Warcraft has farmed its way to 8.6 million copies sold in US retail alone, with 800,000 of those coming in its first month. This figure includes sales from World of Warcraft, the collector's edition version, Battle Chest, and the two standalone expansions: The Burning Crusade and Wrath of The Lich King.

Ever wonder what the World of Warcraft characters do in them taverns? While it really doesn't take much out of the imagination, the Death Knights and Night Elves love to knock back a few after a hard day of raiding and farming. Anyone who's ever spent countless hours playing World of Warcraft may have noted, at some point, that the druids weren't scoring pretty well in the look-o-meter. For that, the devs behind the MMO have decided to give the nasty buggers fresh new textures for two major forms - the cat and bear. There's gonna be five different designs for each of these forms for the Horde and the Alliance, so they really went mad with the druid updating. More after the jump.

When it comes to iPhones and World of Warcraft, this won't be the first video showing how the latter could run on the former, with most of them being empty claims and mere mock-ups. This time, however, things may be a little different. Thanks to Vollee and the VolleeX engine, a video demonstration was put up on YouTube with the massively popular MMORPG running on an iPhone. With the World of Warcraft subscriber base climbing to an impressive 11.5 million just last December, it seems there's no stopping Wrath of the Lich King from conquering everything he sets his eyes on. That is, until the almighty warlord ran into a force much greater than him - the Chinese government. To this day, the extremely popular MMO has yet to receive a license from the Chinese government to operate in mainland China.
