Blizzard has always wowed us with beautiful graphics on its cinematic trailers (like the World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade one). Itachi of Draka asks whether Blizzard can upgrade in-game visuals with that of the cinematic graphics. Check out what Nethaera of the WoW Forums answered in the full article. |

She looks like the epitome of World of Warcraft cosplay, or a model hired by Blizzard to entice gamers into the scene. Lithe body, athletic build, beautiful face, a woman mysteriously made up to become a night elf huntress, brandishing a bow and basking in all her cosplay glory. Pity she isn't real though. If you haven't figured it out yet, the lady you're seeing above is a CGI creation of Max Kor. Everything in the picture is modeled, from the skin and the "bone structure" of the illusory woman, to the teeth (they look real, don't they?), to the bows and arrows on her person. There's a basic tutorial up for CGI aficionados to try out on the via link, but if you're more of a spectator to good CGI than a creator of it, you may want to just keep staring at her, and forget about her roots as a CGI construct that looks suspiciously like Gollum. |

Sutorix has released his World of Warcraft mod Fishing Buddy v0.8.8e. This add addon helps you keep track of the fish you catch, and also helps you manage your fishing gear. Fishing Buddy is actually a combination of TackleBox, Impp's Fishing Info and a fishing outfit manager in one mod.In addition to Fishing Buddy, you might want to take a look at WowRoster v1.7.1 by Zanix. According to our source, WoWRoster is a profiler which displays and stores data gathered from WoW through the use of WoW addons including rpgo-CharacterProfiler, rpgo-GuildProfiler, and PvPLog. It organizes all the data, provides a suite of presentations for the data, and houses a base for addons to access and manipulate roster data, displays addon links in the Roster menu, and presents output to users in a web accessible interface. If you have the previous version installed and you want to know the fixes and features added to v1.7.1, you can view all of them (there's a lot) in the changelog file. And don't forget to check the files for installing and using this addon.
