As one of many speculations about (or ways of passing the time while awaiting) the Wrath of the Lich King update for Blizzard's World of Warcraft, WoW forum member Tootsieroll offered an interesting theory in the form of a question: Could it be possible that Jaina Proudmoore will turn into the Lich Queen once the Wrath of the Lich King update rolls around? Blizzard blue poster, Nethaera, quickly took up the challenge with a counter argument...

The European servers have a couple of additional tweaks coming their way, and this time, they've got some good news and bad news. On the good side, people will be receiving proper credit for using the Ashtongue Ruse now, but on the other hand, Jaina and Thrall are getting a serious case of weakening.

Here's the hotfix info straight from Ommra:

• Players with divine shield and similar immunities will now correctly receive credit for the quest "The Ashtongue Ruse."
• The on-use abilities of the Commander's Badge, Captain's Badge, and Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire can no longer be used while in an Arena.
• The effectiveness of Lady Jaina Proudmoore and Thrall in Caverns of Time: The Battle for Mount Hyjal has been greatly reduced.

The last change ties into the Mount Hyjal changes planned for future releases. As a temporary fix to keep players from losing their loot in the event that an NPC kills a boss, they've weakened the Thrall and Jaina NPCs to be less effective in battle. Players will have to be extra careful with those two around, but the tweak to the gameplay shouldn't be so difficult as to be insurmountable, at least for well-organized raids.

We all know what the Lord of the Blood Elves was talking about when he said that line (*cough* Jaina Proudmoore *cough*) in the World of Warcraft. Anyway, we'll be seeing what vengeance Kael'thas Sunstrider will unleash on whoever challenges him. Nihilum was finally able to get to him but unfortunately wiped out on what we assume to be their first try at the encounter. The good thing is, we got a preview of the big boss fight.

There wasn't any info on the Nihilum site regarding the fight but we can speculate about the screenshots, right? It looks like they somehow managed to get loot off one of Kael'thas' four advisors: a legendary axe. There's some argument as to whether it's for hunters, paladins, or warriors, and also whether it can be taken out of the encounter.

Anyway, feast your eyes on the screens since Kael'thas' loot might be the next we'll be seeing from Nihilum. Will they get another world first? Stay tuned for more World of Warcraft news.
