World of Warcraft - The Arena Tournament - Image 1

As the Arena Tournament draws on, World of Warcraft combatants have been curious as to what official bracket will be able to avail of the unique armored Netherdrake mount. Before the season started, the change was set to a minute top consideration of 0.5%. That's one battlegroup to have the honor of taking home a sweet Netherdrake mount out of 200 unfortunate ones.

The Netherdrake comes in two viable flavors: the armored and unarmored mounts, each with their distinct characteristics and appearances. It's a flying mount, so it will require riders to hone their elite flying mount skills. The armored version is only attainable during each Arena season for qualifying groups, while the unarmored version should be available soon in a special quest.

If you were one who was deterred by the issues regarding Arena points or Arena game mechanics, perhaps this announcement will renew your competitive passion to go for gold (prizes), glory (Arena gear), and honor (world title as the best Arena combatants in World of Warcraft).

WoW - Image 1So you've reached the top of your game, level 70, fully decked out with legendary equipment, and Onyxia's as scary as she used to be. So what's next? Where do you go from there? The answer my friend, is quite simple really. There will be a WoW tournament coming soon and it's time to pit your character and the skills you've learned against living, breathing, thinking opponents.

It starts on February 15 for North American and European users while Korean users will have to be a bit more patient since their tournament starts on March 3. Each five-man team will be competing for one of the eight slots allocated to their region. If they get picked, the eight teams will participate in the regional tournament. This will run from April 20 to May 4. Once the team qualifies, it'll be fighting for a slot at the regionals and finally the global finals where it will square off with the best teams from around the world. So sharpen those Arcanite Reapers and ready your Frost Shocks because only the strongest will survive.
