When it comes to iPhones and World of Warcraft, this won't be the first video showing how the latter could run on the former, with most of them being empty claims and mere mock-ups. This time, however, things may be a little different. Thanks to Vollee and the VolleeX engine, a video demonstration was put up on YouTube with the massively popular MMORPG running on an iPhone. See for yourself.

Machinima video gems based on Blizzard's World of Warcraft are few and far between. Fortunately, we were able to spot one from Selserene entitled "In For A Penny: Prologue". This video is completely set to music and evokes a lot of artistic detail and cinematography. So for those of you who want a good video to kick back with, you might want to give this one a try.

One of the things World of Warcraft players are excited about in patch 2.3 was the addition of a new rare hard-to-tame pet Grimtotem Spirit Guide or what is now known as the ghost wolf.

These ghost wolves are hard to tame because seven seconds after they appear, they die. YouTube member and World of Warcraft player Enaress uploaded a video showing how he was able to obtain this pet. Watch the clip after the jump!

Eloderung from the World of Warcraft Forums took a couple of videos from the Public Test Realm that might just interest you: Engineering mounts. The said mounts can be built by engineers - an addition brought about by the upcoming WoW patch 2.3 from Blizzard.

The player even posted some notes on the flying contraptions:

• Mountspecial does nothing unusual.
• The mount randomly shoots up in the air during as part of its ground idle animation.
• The bobblehead doll on the dashboard dances and bobs its head in flight :D
• Lots of moving parts. Particle effects from the back of the jets. Blue jet flames while in flight. Youtube quality doesn't do this mount any justice - this is quite impressive, visually.

We picked up an interesting bug report over on Blizzard's Public Test Realm forums. Youcantseeme of Draenor reports that there's a bug plaguing the Mac video recording function currently being tested on the PTR.

According to Youcantseeme, the glitch causes the movie to freeze, though the sound will keep on going as if nothing happened. Eventually, the video returns to normal, with the frozen portion of the movie getting skipped.

Blizzard poster Tigerclaw is on the case, however, responding to Youcantseeme's report. He writes, "there were some bugs with the time stamping of the frames, I'll check and see if the appropriate fixes made it into the build currently on PTR (7195)."

It's good to know he's looking into the matter. Hopefully the issue will be resolved in the next PTR build. In the meantime though, PTR players would best be warned with an actual video of the glitch in action, which you can see below. The freezing actually occurs halfway through the video, though we're having trouble scrolling to the exact point. Chances are, the glitch affecting the video is also messing with how YouTube reads the vid, so you'll just have to watch it from start to finish to see the freeze.

A lot of Mac-based World of Warcraft players cheered when it was announced that they'd be getting in-game video recording. It's up and working on the Public Test Realm, but is it any good?

WoW player Sensai posted a recording that was done using the Mac Movie Capture feature of the PTR on YouTube and it looks pretty sweet. While it was a bit too zoomed out for my own taste, the capture looks pretty smooth and well-rendered with none of the reported problems cropping up.

Alan Joyce of EverythingDigital.org uploaded a video clip over at YouTube showing Blizzard's World of Warcraft running on Apple's iPhone. He was able to do it with the help of Telekinesis, a third-party streaming program that allows users to remotely access their Macs through a collection of mini web applications on the phone.

Joyce noted that the experience wasn't that smooth given WoW's textures, graphics, and sound settings among others. Despite that, Alan Joyce mentioned that he could control several actions in the MMO video game through the iPhone interface like receiving and responding to in-game chat messages.

Anyone seeing a future deal between Blizzard and Apple? Possibly a WoW client for the iPhone? We guess we'll have to wait and see.

We used to call this "WoW Weekend Machinima," but since it's not a weekend, and there's something good on YouTube, we decided to preempt our broadcast for another round of fun videos. This time, we've got Ian Beckman's "Azerothian Super Villains," episodes one and two, and they're definitely worth a view or two.

In "Azerothian Super Villains," Illidan, Kael'Thas and Archimonde have joined forces to try and rule all of Azeroth. They aren't doing so well though, since they're stuck in an ugly shack, and they've got some of the dumbest plans known to man.

In Episode 1, you'll see the trio as they try to launch a propaganda piece over the television, to no great effect. Needless to say, this prompts the creation of Episode 2, in which Illidan uses an enlarging wand on Kael'Thas (and Archimonde's anatomy) to have him wreak havoc around Stormwind.

Blizzard Entertainment, as we previously reported, is planning to wreck havoc in the mobile arena. With a news like that, one's thoughts can't help but wonder if World of Warcraft (WoW) will ever appear on a handheld device. It sounds impossible at first but YouTube user viaarena123 has shown that it is actually very plausible.

The videos below show how the user was able to install WoW on OQO Model 2. The device was first shown during this year's Consumer Electronics Show back in January. Model 2 is actually a six-inch PC with a five-inch screen that runs either Windows XP or Vista.

Some of its technical features include 1.2 GHz or a 1.5 GHz processor, up to 1GB of RAM, up to a 60 GB hard drive, has Bluetooth 2.0, and tri-mode WiFi (802.11a/b/g).
