There are people who prefer to be updated continually regarding things they consider important. World of Warcraft player Starshooter appears to be one such person. The player wanted to know how quickly the WoW armory updates itself, as it seemingly hasn't been happening. As you might have guessed, the Blizzard forum members had a variety of replies for Starshooter. Bornakk even joined in. You can find out what they said in the full article, right after the jump. |

The race was close, but now a single US realm in World of Warcraft has persevered to secure an impressive lead against the rest. And Proudmoore, the realm in question, was visited by none other than Blizzard's Drysc for a pre-emptive congratulations on a continued job well done. Why? Well, they're the first realm to complete Phase 2 of the multipart Shattered Sun Offensive quests. More at the full story. |

The folks at Blizzard have updated the World of Warcraft Armory, making it up-to-date for Arena Season 3. Most notable of the changes happens to be the new Personal Arena Ratings that appear in Character and Team Profiles. These ratings happen to be the new basis for eligibility for certain Arena awards, so Arena players will definitely want to keep an eye on these.More on the updated Armory after the jump! |

In a recent discussion on World of Warcraft forums, the question was posted on just how accurate the system tracks the names of characters that were changed using the new paid name change service provided by Blizzard. Some people were concerned with the fact that the more unruly population of Azeroth might use this feature to abuse fellow players in the game. Nethaera, a Blizzard Poster, previously mentioned that a good way to track abusers who give other players a hard time is to place them on your ignore list so you may easily keep an eye on them. It was also confirmed by other players on the forums that name changes to a particular character reflect on the ignore list as well as the Armory. Another question raised was whether the previous name of a character would immediately be available for another player to use. If this was true then malicious players can masquerade using the previous character's name and effectively ruin his reputation in the game world. However, Nethaera was quick to answer this question, as well as clarify gamers' concerns about the ignore list suggestion she posted: It is locked for 90 days and then becomes available after that point in time. Also, please note. My suggestion earlier about perhaps putting a ninja on your ignore list helping was merely that, a suggestion. It was by no means meant as 'the solution' that people are quoting it as. I understand that people are going to focus on the negatives of what could happen, but I have a feeling the fears people are expressing are a bit exaggerated and unlikely to come to fruition. We will of course monitor the effects this has on the community and make any additional changes as we feel are warranted. |

The Armory has become a very valuable resource to both casual and hardcore World of Warcraft players. It got even better as Blizzard introduces the Arena Calculator. This new addition allows gamers to compute the amount of Arena points they will be getting as well as show how long it will take them to get some of the items given their current progression. The Arena Calculator also offers a rating calculator which gives players an idea of what average rating they need to get a certain arena reward as well as a time calculator which tells you how long it will take to get a certain equipment. Using it couldn't be any simpler as the program automatically places your Arena information if you're logged into the site. Those using either Opera or Safari will have to input their statistics manually though. It's really great that players don't have to manually compute their statistics anymore considering it can be quite time consuming. If you want to try it out, click on our Read Link to do so. |
