ESA - Image 1What to do when your event is drawing flak and your circle of supporters are leaving one by one? Try a different strategy, for one. And this is what ESA seems to be doing for next year's E3. Talks of them "going public" are circulating the Internet's grapevines. But how probable is this move?

Peter Moore: Activision-Blizzard can't compete with EA Sports - Image 1Electronics Arts head honcho Peter Moore has always been outspoken about his grand plans for the publisher's EA Sports titles. Just how grand  are his plans? Enough to claim that fellow industry giant Activision-Blizzard won't be able to compete with them. Quite a statement to say against the company that brought us the Guitar Hero franchise. More in the full article.

E for All - Image 1

IDS World Expo, alongside the Worlds Series of Video Games (WSVG), announced today that they have teamed up with the Entertainment for All (E for All) Expo to host one last competitive circuit before the party flies to Europe.

The E for All Edition of the WSVG circuit will have four arenas of competitive game play on various titles, including some of the world's biggest games like Blizzard's World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, Guitar Hero II (Activision), and Fight Night Round 3 (EA Sports).

The event will be covered online, as well as on a one-hour TV special in November. Participants will also be able to get their hands on titles set for release come the Holidays. That's a perfect preview opportunity for you right there.

Meanwhile, Mary Dolaher, CEO of IDG World Expo, has this to say about this collaboration: "By featuring the WSVG at E for All, we're able to offer fans a direct connection to the energy and excitement of gameplay at the competitive level."

The E for All Edition of the WSVG Circuit has US$ 90,000 in cash prizes and a whole lot of fun in store for all. If you're interested, the event will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown LA, on October 18 to 21.

Phoenix Wright: Justice for AllA new week, a new line-up of games. Check out the list for this week, as it's probably more "varied" than the number of colors that Dennis Rodman's hair comes in.

Topping the list as probably the most-anticipated in the bunch is the WoW: Burning Crusade expansion pack. The Outland is going to be opened via the Dark Portal, so better prepare yourself for an MMO-spree (and sleepless nights) for the next couple of weeks after this. Phoenix Wright: Justice for All is also bound to sweep the jury as the dramatic lawyer simulation would get some hard-hitting sales figures on the DS charts. As for the ballers, NCAA March Madness 07 is also coming out this week, so maybe it would be a good time to finally put the demo to rest and get the game itself already.

Others on the list include:
  • WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Wii)
  • Fossil League: Dino Tournament Championship (NDS)
  • Great Invasions (PC)
  • Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses (NDS)
A lot of the "party-game crowd" are definitely going to be eying WarioWare. For all intents and purposes though, you'd still get a lot of dancing in that Barbie title coming out as well. Captain Sarcasm says it's going to be one of the toughest calls to make.
