The off-hand Warglaive of Azzinoth was rumored to be one of the rarest items in the game, mostly because no one had seen it drop outside of the public test realms (PTR). Suffice it to say that the rumors can finally be laid to rest, as the second Warglaive has finally dropped, a world first legendary earned by Johndoe of the Drama guild on Shattered Hand. That's right folks. Drama killed Illidan a few hours ago, making them one of the elite guilds who've taken down the "final boss" of World of Warcraft. To reward them for their efforts, the gods of the Blizzard's random loot algorithms smiled upon them, with the off-hand warglaive as one of their prizes. The off-hand Warglaive of Azzinoth is a 109 dps weapon that adds 21 agility and 28 stamina to a user's stats. Furthermore, it increases one's critical strike rating by 23 and attack power by 44. Combined with the main-hand warglaive, the user's attack power increases by 200 against demons, and each attack the user makes has a chance to increase the haste the character by 450 for 10 seconds, thereby increasing the overall dps of the character. Congratulations to Johndoe and to Drama of Shattered Hand for winning this epic loot. |

In Blizzard's World of Warcraft, or in any MMORPG for that matter, reputation is a very big thing. Now, to be in WoW's Hall of Fame in the Armory is to join the ranks of the elite, it shows that you were (and probably still are) a member of the top 0.5% in your battlegroup. We mean these are the people you really don't want to mess with when you're up and about in a PvP area. Most if not everyone who competed know that every team member who played in at least 20% of his or her team's total games also receives an armored Netherdrake mount and a title as trophies. So most of the players you see on the list of teams will probably be sporting a netherdrake making them pretty hard to miss when out in the field. If you didn't make it to the list, however, you can head on over to the Armory via our Read link to check out the next *cough* targets you have to take down this season two. If you're on it, congratulations, you can head over there just to see your name on the list. |

For the level 60+ players in the World of Warcraft who would like to take a break from the daily grind of arguing game nerfing and patch releases, Argaras over at the WoW official forums has opened up a thread titled "Hidden/Mysterious areas."As implied by the name, the thread is a discussion of the more obscure or difficult-to-find locations that some of the more veteran players here may have encountered in their adventures. Here are some of the interesting places Argaras is aware of: Azeroth

Perhaps it's just a case of preference, but if you're one of those players who don't spend their precious time trying to earn some silver, then perhaps the 5,000 gold price tag for training an elite mount probably isn't worth the ride. But for many budding entrepreneurs, it's a deal too good to miss! Epic and Artisan mounts do require hefty investments and not only in training the pet, but also for the player to be able to ride the mount. But since all of the elite mounts require players to be at the Level 70 cap, grabbing one should be an easy buy. After all, there's nothing much else to do at 70 than to drop by at the Arena, participate in some battleground combat, or join up with a good guild and raid yourself to boredom. Okay, so maybe elite mounts aren't much useful anymore when you don't need to skirt around places in speeds that could shame that Level 60 epic mount. Perhaps Blizzard has something else in mind for the mounts, but apparently, it's just a good-and-bad kinda thing, depending on your taste. After all, not everyone wants to look cool, all decked out with purple slashers and chassis. But for those who think purple "bling-age" matters, a sweet Netherdrake, a gallant Gryphon or the near impossible-to-grab Black Qiraji Battle Tank (we know, it's just legendary but it sooooo rocks!) is just the thing you might want to bring home to your mommy. Because anything green or blue just won't cut it, plus the fact that you can outrun practically just about anyone is just the natural trade-off for being cool. With only limited Artisan and Expert mounts and the "no fly zone" sanctioned over the skies of Azeroth, everyone would be looking pretty much alike. Unless Blizzard can provide their own version of "Pimp My Ride," these cool mounts might eventually just end up the usual norm. Hear that, Blizzard? Yep, it's time to cough up some new mounts. |

Ah-hah! Don't say we didn't tell you so! Even at the announcement of the Armory, everyone knew it was a matter of time before someone would find a nasty use for it, and a single hot thread in the World of Warcraft Forums scored a bulls-eye on the perfect misuse of the Warcraft Armory: find the worst player in World of Warcraft. While they're mostly (and definitely) elite players who have decided to scan for characters who have, in their opinion, the worst stats and builds ever, they certainly aren't the professional cut of gamers at any length. It's a sad thing that's happening to the casual players of WoW who couldn't care less about playing seriously, but as Blizzard has said before, there is no opting out of the Armory. And here's the worst part of it: now it's got green-clad casual gamers duking it out with level 70 purple-clads and male gamers who play female avatars flaming against "male-all-the-way" male gamers. One feature that was supposed to serve a positive purpose in the community is now a potential force to topple it all to dust. What has the World (of Warcraft) come to? |

Ever wondered what it'd be like to have your own personal dream team playing World of Warcraft with you? Well, look no further! In this new series of articles, we'll be examining the possibilities of people we never expected would play Blizzard's epic MMO. We'll not only go into detail as to why they'd be a particular race, but we'll also feature the class and skills they'd be expected to use in game... if they played WoW Allow me to present what is probably the most blasphemous, yet perhaps the most elite of the members of the five-man team in this set: Jesus Christ, the human warlock. Don't worry. We'll be silencing all cries of "But Jesus should be a priest!" soon enough. Trust us, Judas is a priest, but Jesus is an uber Warlock. Race and Skills of He Who Is: First off, it's obvious that He'd have to be human. Jesus is fully God and fully Human at the same time, and because He's God, he deserves to have +10% to Spirit. Since he's also known the world over, it makes sense that he'd have an easier time gaining faction with everyone as well. As the son of a lowly carpenter, expect Jesus to be a proficient engineer, able to create things that would astound lesser men. Obviously, he'd be a gnomish engineer, if only for the cool goggles. He also happens to be an expert tailor, as someone had to fix all the clothing he managed to tear in his travels. As for his secondary skills, expect Jesus to be an expert angler. Jesus Christ was known as a fisher of men, so it also goes to show that if there's anyone who'd be 1337 enough to fish up Gahz'Ranka from Zul'Gurub, it's this guy. Expect Him to have maxed out fishing, and expect Nat Pagle to have learned a thing or two from Him. Besides, the guy walks on water: He can fish anywhere He pleases. The full article awaits after the jump! |

We've already talked about Fel Reavers even when The Burning Crusade was still in beta phase. They're actually level 70 demonic machines which guard the Hellfire Peninsula. Then, a couple of days ago, Blizzard Entertainment provided a fix for the "It's a Fel Reaver, but with Heart" quest to keep the thing from breaking.A stealth change was implemented last Tuesday to the Gnomish Universal Remote. The change was rather saddening because prior to that, engineers could actually control Fel Reavers and even mechanical mobs in Tempest Keep. One warrior was even able to control Doomwalker. But because of the fix, everything is nothing but a proud memory now. (If you're not familiar with Doomwalker, it is actually an elite boss Fel Reaver. It can be found outside the Black Temple in Shadowmoon Valley.) The warrior mentioned that it has the same exact abilities as that of a normal Fel Reaver except for a few differences that are more demonic than you can even imagine. For one, Doomwalker is level 80. The added abilities include a chain lightning that bounced up to 10 times, a 10% sunden armor, and a channeled AOE that does 2000 damage a tick that is known as Earthquake. Oh well, what we can tell the warrior is you're one lucky player and you can boast around Azeroth saying, "I owned Doomwalker once." |
