World of Warcraft: The Board Game developer Fantasy Flight Games has released the The Burning Crusade expansion for die-hard World of Warcraft fans who simply have to have everything WoW-related. The Burning Crusade expansion to the board game adds new monsters, character races, heroes, dungeons, quests, items, overlords, event cards, higher level cap. It also packs in new rules, powers, and new talents to the original board game. As is the case with the World of Warcraft MMORPG, The Burning Crusade expansion of the WoW board game takes players to the remains of the once beauteous world of Draenor. Deep within the Black Temple, the renegade demon hunter Illidan Stormrage plots a triumphant return, daring players to challenge him. If you already own of the original World of Warcraft: The Board Game and the Shadows of War expansion from the same developer, then grab a few friends and head out on a new adventure! |

It has been announced before that Fantasy Flight Games will be showcasing their products at the Blizzcon 2007 this August 3 and 4. To mark this event, the company was cool enough to provide a World of Warcraft: the Board Game BlizzCon mini-expansion in the goodie bags attendees will be getting. If you decide to swing by the FFG booth located at #L305-306 you'll be able to check out a few demos of their newer board games such as StarCraft: the Board Game. You will also get a chance to get a look at The Burning Crusade expansion for World of Warcraft: the Board Game. You'll also get a chance to chat with WoW: TBG designer Christian T. Petersen and SCBG designer Corey Konieczka. The stuff the company will be showcasing is pretty hot, if I do say so myself, and something that gamers should not miss. So if you're going to attend the convention, there is no reason short of an angry Tauren or Hydralisk for you not to drop by. |

When we mention World of Warcraft game updates, don't think Blizzard is working on another Burning Crusade tweak. With that said, we step out of WoW's online realm into something more traditional - the WoW board game.Fantasy Flight Games' tabletop incarnation of the Warcraft franchise has recently received an update of its own, in way of the Shadow of War expansion. Here are the new features included in the bundle:
