Gaming Addiction - Image 1

Katherine Nguyen's article on the Reno Gazette-Journal asks: Is online gaming going to be elevated to the status of addictive? We here at QJ would like to respond by asking: It's 2007, right? Not 1998?

Despite Nguyen's "timely" choice topic, what her article does well is cover a lot of solutions to the prevalent problem that is gaming addiction. She notes sites you could go to and entities you could turn to for help in curbing your daily WoW playtime from 8 to 2.

The truth is, the article itself is quite helpful and informative. The piece just has a really, really bad title that only emphasizes how much folks outside of gaming culture are uneducated/misinformed about the reasons behind gaming addiction and how it manifests.

If you're looking for detox info, or you're in the mood to read testimonials from fellow addicts, Nguyen's article is to be had via our "read" link below.
