Headplay Personal Cinema System - Image 1

Headplay is probably every couch potato's dream. Imagine a TV. Now imagine being able to take it anywhere and everywhere you go (except perhaps in the shower), and being able to watch movies or play games on it anytime you want. That's the concept for the new "Personal Cinema System" device, Headplay.

Headplay is a head-mounted device; basically, a TV you wear on your head. You can connect it to your gaming consoles, your DVD Player, your iPod, your PC, and maybe your Betamax player if it hasn't choked on dust yet. If it has a video out function, Headplay can most probably display it. You can also plug in a memory stick and Headplay can run the media files - movies, videos, and images - with its own built-in player.

Once you're behind the lenses of Headplay it's pretty easy to just relax and go dead to the world around you. It's nothing but you and the screen, with the stereo sounds blocking off everything else. It's like your own movie screen inside your living room.

World of Warcraft - Image 1

The latest patch notes aren't up yet on the World of Warcraft website (they still show the ones for PTR Patch 2.0.10, by the way), so here's Drysc to the rescue. He's just posted the current live notes for PTR Patch 2.0.12 on the official WoW forums and, well, here they are:

Mac

  • Improved memory usage and stability under Mac OS X 10.4.9 using multi-threaded OpenGL

Bug Fixes

  • Attempting to turn in a guild charter with a signature from a player that formed his own guild will no longer result in an inappropriate error message.
  • Using the customer support "Auto-Unstuck" will now trigger the one-hour cooldown on the player's hearthstone.

Arenas

  • Players will no longer be able to see their opponents in the Combat Log of an Arena match-up before the game starts.

Battlegrounds

  • Eye of the Storm: Players should no longer be able to exit the bubble before the match starts.

Mechanar

  • The gate at the top of the elevator in Mechanar will now remain open while attempting the gauntlet and after Pathaleon the Calculator is killed.

Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad

  • The Escape from Durnholde event will no longer break during the church part of the encounter.
  • Various localization fixes have been applied.
These patch notes will be on the official website soon.

The World of Warcraft v1.9.3 patch has gone live on all realms today. It's not that exciting of a patch, as I still can't make a Gnome Paladin like I could in EverQuest 2. The main thing that will affect you due to this patch is that you will need to scroll through and accept the EULA, yet again. But, some of the highlights include full compatibility for Mac computers, Slice and Dice never misses for rogues (!), increased difficulty to remain out of combat while fighting bosses in Molten Core, and spawn reduction in Zul'Gruub. Maintenance is scheduled to be completed at 11:00am PST.

Full patch notes after the jump.
