Remember how Blizzard had asked for screenshots from World of Warcraft players in the past? Well, it seems that Blizzard is proudly showcasing the fruits of their customers' hard work. Nebu has announced the opening of a WoW screenshot gallery involving the best entries that Blizzard has specifically chosen for the fishing category. And believe us, the screenshots say a lot about what WoW adventurers do when they're not raiding.Something fishy's going on after the jump! |

Nebu, staff member of Blizzard's official World of Warcraft website, recently announced the winners of the World of Warcraft
comic contest for the previous month. While eleven entries were chosen
as the contest finalists, Lavaburst, a level 21 Blood Elf mage of the
Kamikaze Cupcakes guild, claimed the top spot in Blizzard's eyes. Lavaburst's entry, entitled "Witty WoW Comic Title", featured a Horde peon merrily hammering his pickaxe away at a slab of rock holding nuggets of gold. More details after the jump! |

As a back-to-back holiday treat, Nebu from the official World of Warcraft site has recently announced the winners of both the Blizzard 2007 Pumpkin Carving Contest and the World of Warcraft Hallow's End screenshot event. Photos of the top entries for both events have been posted on Blizzard's official World of Warcraft site for all to see.Nebu noted the increasing level of creativity and competition with each passing year, and remarked that this year's pumpkin carving contest had fielded "the deepest pool of entries yet." The sixty-five chosen entries for the WoW Hallow's End screenshot gallery, on the other hand, revealed dramatically frightful images of the Headless Horseman, witches on broomsticks, and jack-o'-lanterns in all their sinister glory. Both the Pumpkin Carving Contest and the Hallow's End event are seasonal holiday events sponsored by Blizzard. Participants are expected to submit the most artistic pumpkins or screenshots they can come up with depicting various themed World of Warcraft or Blizzard-themed Halloween motifs. |

It appears that Nebu and Thaddeus Loenbrough need the help of World of Warcraft players once again! The Royal Photographic Society of Azeroth is asking for more screenshots of Blizzard's Burning Crusade expansion. This time, the spotlight has fallen on The Underbog. As was the case with previous calls for WoW screenshots, Nebu requires entries that feature the visuals and the atmosphere of the The Underbog wing of the Coilfang Reservoir, along with dramatic screenshots of players engaging in combat with The Underbog's various inhabitants. Players whose entries will be selected will have their screenshots and their characters' names displayed in the ever-evolving World of Warcraft guide. A friendly reminder before you start spamming screenshots: kindly note the guidelines that Thaddeus Loenbrough has posted regarding what not to send in. That aside, keep them coming through the screenshot submission form we've linked to below, and have fun! |

In an effort to increase the helpfulness of their World of Warcraft web guide, Blizzard is once again requesting the aid of intrepid adventurers who're used to using the Print Screen button. Nebu's back on the World of Warcraft homepage, and this time, he's asking adventurers for screenshots of their romps through Coilfang Reservoir's Slave Pens. Like the previous screenshot request posts for the Hellfire Ramparts, the Blood Furnace, and The Shattered Halls, they're looking for action-packed, descriptive pictures of the Slave Pens, which they will then use on their WoW guide. As with all of the screenshots they pick, you'll get your character name featured on their guide, along with the picture you took in-game. In any case, if you've got some A-level screenshots of the Slave Pens lying around, why not send them in? Who knows? You may just be the next inductee into the Royal Photographic Society of Azeroth. |

Calling in-game photographers in the World of Warcraft! For what, you ask? The community is in need of screenshots for the WoW Guide.Nebu, the Blizzard poster for the official website, mentioned that their overall focus are turned toward the dungeons of The Burning Crusade, and for this batch, they are collecting screenshots of The Blood Furnace, the second wing of the Hellfire Ramparts. Selected screenshots will go straight to the World of Warcraft Guide and will be shown along with the character's name. Interested? Well, they're looking for some dramatic combat shots plus screens showcasing the area's general ambience and visuals. Submit your screenshots to the Royal Photographic Society of Azeroth, yes the same people you send your entries for screenshot of the day. Check out the Read link below for the rules. Good luck! |
