World of Warcraft and stand-up comedy. We never thought we'd see the day, but apparently, we were quite wrong. Rosacrutian, a "level 35 undead warlock" from the Moonrunner server, stepped onto a real-world stage to perform a five-minute comedy routine... about World of Warcraft.

It's weird, and you might get a laugh or two, but otherwise, we're not sure what to think. Mostly because his routine is read straight off pieces of paper at some points, but also because there's an uncomfortable notion behind this: World of Warcraft doesn't translate very well into a non-cosplayed comedy routine with just one guy.

Still, we give him props for guts. He not only put this up on YouTube, but also had the guts to write a love letter to Shannen Doherty, supposedly an avid WoW player. As with anything related to Shannen Doherty, expect some swearing in the video, even if none of it came from her. As an added bonus, he gave props to Gawell of Archimonde, the first level 70 character in all of Burning Crusade.

We're glad that Rosacrutian of the Moonrunner server was put up to this by his friend, or we'd really just have to make level one alts to spam his in-game mailbox with constructive criticism on his stand-up routine. Of course, we'd probably add a copper piece to these mails, just to give him a penny for his thoughts.

Phishing 101Scammers are downright despicable, people who hoodwink others to get whatever they want. Apparently, they're perfecting their phishing methods now. Nope, they won't need fishing poles for that. What they need is bait.

Phishing or spoofing is one method scammers use to con players into giving their account information like account names and passwords. How? They send spam emails that look like official email. They also mimic official websites that forward players to a different site. Phishing is one of the top security problems encountered by gamers and internet users alike.

It seems that scammers have taken Valve Corporation's Steam and World of Warcraft as a good phishing spot. Fraudulent emails were reported by Gamespot and were compared with the real thing. Blizzard says that it's one of their biggest security problems, along with Trojans disguising as add-ons and hacks.

Blizzard reminds players of suspicious emails and websites asking for account info. According to a Blizzard rep, "People should be suspicious of anything that doesn't come from a Blizzard.com email address, or attempts to forward you to a site that isn't Blizzard.com or worldofwarcraft.com." Players are advised to check questionable mail and forward it to - billing@blizzard.com - and wait for a message confirming it's legitimacy before doing anything.

While action is being taken to prevent these scams from happening, players should still be wary and should take good care of protecting their account information.

Night ElfIt's World of Warcraft mod day, and we're serving you guys three cool WoW apps you wouldn't want to miss. Let's see, we have Paparazzi from Neriak, Automatic Ding Congratulator by Stewart, and IMBA (IMpervious Boss Addons) by Cryect.

Paparazzi, just as it name suggest, let you take interesting photos either in a single snapshot or in a series of action frames. So if you badly want to take a series of pictures of 'em kickass WoW cows, better check this mod out.

IMBA is a boss addon, Friendly Neighbor, Tank Finder, and a Minimap marker all rolled into neat package. Its maker, Cryect says that it also includes various tools such as Raid Icon Monitor, which keeps tabs of your targets, and a Blackboard for those raid strategy sessions.

Automatic Ding Congratulator by Stewart constantly makes you aware or allies' progress in WoW. Just like those addons that say "ding!" whenever somebody in your guild chat levels up, this one actually congratulates the said person who just leveled up. So whenever you're "ding-ed," this addon automatically congratulates the said "ding-er." Nice, eh?

To find out about each mod's features, click on the Full Article link below! We'll update this article with the download links for these mods as soon as we're done putting them on our DL site.
